All a company’s activities

Overall advantage or disadvantage results from all a company’s activities, not only
a few.

So says Michael E. Porter in his paper, What is Strategy?, published by the Harvard Business Review, November-December 1996, which Des shared with me recently. This reminds me of a classic quote from Aristotle on excellence.

That Aristotle quote is one of my favourites, as I think it neatly states something that people should know - excellence is a result of consistent hard work on the part of the excellent.
